No thing

There is a stillness in you no heavenly or earthly being can remove. In front of it, the mind is performing and somehow attention goes there. Behind is pure Silence - your real Being. All this is your dynamic dance. As you stay rooted in impersonal seeing, the inner and outer are revealed as One. Knowing this, you will not suffer existence.

We are not the characters.

We Are the essence,
which animates the characters.

The life force which beats the heart
and breathes the air.

Present within everything
and yet is, No Thing.

In the space between the thoughts
is where you will recognize yourself.

Do you know your next thought?
No?
Do you know why?

Because You are not thinking them
the mind is...

and you are Not the mind.

I think that the stillness alluded to is eternity; that's the whole from which we have come and to which we will return whilst always being a part of it now (!!) We are not the thought we're thinking - the thought is just travelling through our mind which transduces and interprets it according to mood and perspective. This is my kind of dance, Debby: love it! :)) xx

I love this line; "In the space between the thoughts

poem and picture are of a piece... an essence that transcends the matter that essence animates ... wonderful thoughts, wonderfully expressed, Debby... as always your poetry teases me out of thought (and in this case helps me see beyond thought...
