wars are started
when someone decides
they have the right to own
Rapunzels hair
flows in all directions
and none are banished at all
unexpected or shocking events
bring forth judgments
but no one's on trial
except within themselves
within all eyes
and spark of heart
a love divine resides
she sees that place
inside you there
shining as love and light
and come they do
and come they will
to climb upon her tresses
and underneath their coats she sees
their weapons of destruction
some cut a lock for their pocket
to remember they were there
some weave ribbons
or braid or nest
some just set it afire
it is not really she
who is the prize
but the journey
upon the climb
for what it seems that
needs to be rescued
is the love inside your own heart
