I saw you claw up from the underworld
a whirlwind thick and spinning
stretching itself from star to star
beckoning each light
with disillusioned heart layers
you looked at me singing beyond death
whispering redemption with baby cries
flowing over my own smoldering pain
my blasphemous wicked and sinful ways
naughty but nice you snickered
you smelled my blood
I smelled your kills
similar species, we flew into walls
flinched at ceilings
then bounded down halls
exhausted from ways to outrun
so desperate in need to lie down
crying for lover’s moans
kissing away bruises and scars
being in the water of knowing
our everything is silk and velvet
and comes together melting
a meteor shower between blankets
where it feels warm and safe
divine and cherished
everything is both sinner and saint
maybe we are one and the same
scattered pieces of a larger whole
and all we ever wanted, was to find our way home
Cheers
