enjoying the simple things in life after a hectic work week.

Sweet Saturday Morning

Sleeping in on a Saturday’s morn

No one telling me to get up

Nothing that is, except a fat gray cat

Swishing his tail on my tired face

The smell of fresh brewed coffee

And frying bacon permeate the air

Arising from my sweet soft bed

To join my love and his feast

The aromatics of pleasurable consumables, we sate with delight. To be blessed with a fat cat and love to share them with, ahhhhhhhh. To have been granted the time, a divine gift. I can snuggle up in the pleasures of your poem and relax. God bless. JMW

I try to sleep in every morning til the phone rings and it is a sales call or something. People know not to call me early in the a.m. I love to sleep in til ready to face the day. It is hard to face the day anyway for me, but once I get up and about I feel better.

Wondeful smells and imagery here, Mary; the fat grey cat is an added bonus! Very well penned; give that grey furball a (((HUG))) and a pat from me!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D *purring at that fat grey cat*
