SILVER BELLS
Twenty five years ago, as we were holding hands
We promised to love each other throughout our lives,
kissed one another, and we were Man and Wife.
We began life’s journey not knowing what we would find.
There were ups and downs, and time when it was hard.
But nothing could ever go wrong when I was in your
loving arms. Your patience, your caring, your understanding
ways, is something I appreciate each and every day.
I know sometimes I can be a handful, as you’ve often let
me know. But than you forgive me, laugh and say,
“I love you so.” I’ve never quite understood that, but
That is just your way, to look, to love and forgive.
You are my soul mate, my one and only love, and throughout
any stormy weather, I know we’ll always be together.
So on this celebration of our wedding day so many years ago
I give you twenty five bells of silver, to represent Twenty Five
Years of love.
Bill :-)

Is this one of your re-writes or improvements! It sounds a little familiar -- I think I remember when you were first trying to write it ... you were under pressure to finish it for your anniversary ... and maybe even have it framed. It's beautiful! Susan
Congrats on 25 years - terrific!!
