Couldn't be bothered
to vote last year
winning lot in
caused a stir
money missing
no one blamed
its not us
so was claimed
just unfair
gets my goat
got less than half
of the vote
shouldn't be let
to reoccur
can't be bothered
to vote this year

Children scream
from next door
what about
broken jaw
turn volume up
on TV
drown out
kids' misery
program showing
child abuse
should be stopped
are your views
high pitch whines
attack your core
up the sound
just some more

Radio nicked
from your car
another day
they do mar
no money
to buy anew
so without
you will do
so called friend
offers one cheap
on condition
your silence keep
good ol' mate
man's a star
forget its nicked
from another's car

Local schools
just get worse
education today?
society's curse
come and be
a teacher's aide
your knowledge
the kids to trade
good idea
time to spare?
rush along
you're needed there
Me? love to help
another day?
must get home
new game to play

Shoes made abroad
just on the news
paid a pittance
kids are used
got a nerve
damn disgrace
rich employer
showing his face
should be stopped
not allowed
most protest
join the crowd
well! you know
I'd love to try
but can't today
cheap shoes to buy
