Very heartfelt, for me. Well done, too. I will never get over our N. It is more than the sorrow. It is more than the grief, anguish, confusion . . . frantic . . . incomprehension. Our machine is now BROKEN. How do we patch it up and go on without that crucial part of our machine? Just try to find something that will WORK. Something that will pretty much do the job (like a coathanger antennae [with aluminum foil flags], or a three legged dog). Life without her is just . . . so weird. So contrived. It was never supposed to happen this way. I'll never understand. I guess she had her reasons. Sure hurts, though.

Suicide is wrong, I know someone who's courage to his life, but his weakness to live LIFE showed and many chose to ignore it~!
WE must listen when given a chance! and do what we can or lead them in the right direction! AS this 800 National Suicide Number! you posted! I have one in my poem on suicide too! Thank you ViC!

Beautiful poem. Sad but I think if others cared enough this person would've found a way to talk it out with someone they trust...also this is the result of having an empty heart with no hope and I know now for sure, hope and peace comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, it is magical I tell you, nothing phases you, nothing brings you down so badly that you forget that he rose from death and that you are the apple of His eye....

My heart goes out to you as I know this pain myself. When someone takes their own life or when someone we love dies suddenly, there are always the what if's and the sorrow of unfinished business. Suicide carries the additonal burden of shame. I do not think it is an act of bravery or cowardice. It simply is the means to an end...None of us can judge when another person has simply "had enough"

Vicky I am sorry for the pain you are going through. I have known people who have taken their own lives and I can't imagine their hurt being so harsh that they think there is no other way to turn. I do believe they have gone too far to turn back if only they could see that we want to listen and to understand and maybe by doing so help them to see that life is great. Your words have deeply touched my heart. Thank you for sharing.

Vicky I'm so sorry for your loss and pain. When someone is that depressed to have lost the will to live they are not being selfish, they are just trying to free themselves from the unbearable, they can think then of nothing but relief. It's not personal the pain they inflict, they can't think straight enough at that time to care about anything but release. A poem that deeply touches my heart.

I read this one with interest Vick, for anyone who has gone through heavy depression knows also the desire to end it all and make the pain go away. I would agree that it is not a cowards way out but I disagree on it being an act of courage, rather...it is the act of someone who is sick and cannot see the hurt they will leave behind. I have been on that brink so I know what it feels like but somewhere found a way to escape that final soulution. Great image and glimpse into the hell they face though.
