Love's Powers
Love's Perils
Love.....

Photography Artist: http://ca6e1ad5.deviantart.com/

You

I loved you,

beyond the color of sorrows darkness…

Behind the coral of orange blooms I sought…love

Yours…

You were like the faint dust speaking into the wind;

The caress of perfume that roses bring;

An essence hinting perfection…

I touched the thorns of passage

that severed

the heart of my soul…You…

The passions unleashed…beyond all reasons control…

I am lost…lost in this emotion some call love…

I feel like a drifter

harbored into the depth

of

forbidden caves….seeking only to find your touch…

The hand of a master which opens the hidden gates

of my secrets…

Secrets of passages…There is you…

Like a thief steals the gold from a kingdom,

who left me?

Who,

in the dew drops of fantasy longing?

I do…long & yearn for you…

My thoughts I feel…To love you forevermore…

The dream of a lover…You….Which never belonged to me…

I am the thief,

The pawn of sacrifice…Within a losers kingdom…

I held the lock…

Securely, within the heart of my embrace,

without the realization of needing a key…

I have no key…I am imprisoned to you…

Damaged in love is where my heart now falls free;

Longing in the loss of my dreams without you;

Perished like a tarnished jewel unseen;

Buried beneath the emotions of hope…

The faith I had…that no-one could see…

I held this precious perfection;

I inhaled the essence of divinity;

In blessings I honored the gift…

You…Love…

A treasure I should have known would never be mine…

Wow...what a powerful piece...one of your best. This was quite moving, a truly beautiful piece, beautiful as art as well as poetry. As is said in another review here, very bittersweet.

If I were you by being me,
what would the meaning of this defining be?

If you were I,
one soul but free,
where would your border end,
when merging with the essence of me?

You are I when I am trying to so fiercly to be me,
but I feel so far from free,
when I try to be a you that doesn't suit me.

I am you when defining divinity,
but I feel apostate,
when I am you in such a manner,
that belittles the honesty of me.

Let me be you,
while you I let be me,
but only when such sharings,
set both souls free,
to experiences with no bittersweetness,
wondrous experiences of love being free.

Every word is magical, bittersweet too, but who wouldn't love to be the receiver of such thoughts and longing????

Vicoria, I saved this one to my library. You write passion with just depth and beauty. I can't wait for that book. I'll be a first in line to purchase. Bravo!

I'm going to get down to the nut cutting, here. YOU WRITE F*CKING BEAUTIFULLY. Yes, the sentiment is beautiful and well expressed (quite consistently in all of your work)- but it's more than that. I have been touched and enthralled by everything of yours that I have read. But, it's more than just liking the poem, for me. I find your style, your rythym and your point of view to be very appealing. I can relate to you.

I look forward to more!

I wish you all of the success in the world!

Regards,
Blue

Vicky I believe at times we have all been guilty of being a thief, wanting to take that wht is forbidden never to be known, A treasure we know will never be ours.
Your words are beautiful and steal my heart within them. Thank you for sharing.

"...I am the thief...I held the lock..." reproaching, yet, declaring feelings that only two know and only two can share.
Like a cup of sweet tea with a few drops of lemon.

Victoria, it's past midnight and I said to myself: I think
I'll read the Romantic Poetess before turning in. Mistake.
Beautifully done...But it's going to be a fitful sleep.

You give new meaning and depth to the classic lines of the great Kahlil Gibran:

"And ever has it been that love
Knows not its own depth
Until the hour of separation."

But here you search for "A treasure I should have known would never be mine."

My dearest Vickie, you are indeed the Mistress of Romantic Poetry.
And your pictures leave me breathless, dazzled and spellbound! I've got my scissors in hand. I'm takin' this one with me. Whooeee!
With love and cherished respect,
Richard

Vickie, This is beyond passion, this is soul wrenchingly beautiful and heart touched...
My goodness these lines grabbed me ever so firmly:

"The dream of a lover…You….Which never belonged to me…

I am the thief,

The pawn of sacrifice…Within a losers kingdom…

I held the lock…

Securely, within the heart of my embrace,

without the realization of needing a key…

I have no key…I am imprisoned to you…

Very powerful emotional words, I can say without a doubt you are The Poetesse d'amour

Much love, light, and peace dear friend,
