on my photography treasure hunt the other day I discovered her "Ovations Knoll"
overgrown
and unattended with loads of memories inside
An Utterly Fabulous Adventure
but also on the same note very sad since I am so fond of barns...

Ovations Knoll

Seeded spermatium spindle dust;

Gravel breccia overrun by shade.

Dirt paved paths are forgotten

as rudaceous edgestones remain…

Timeworn timber still stands,

proud to shelter stock bales bed.

Once in her lifetime removed;

She lived over fields in posterity.

Dancing as pollen refines into perfume;

Bouquets perianth linger in effluvious meadows.

These recepotacle memories of her…

Ovations knoll continue growing her fields;

Whispering upon the bushveld prairie

Herbaceous wealds grow over macadam marrows

As the pasturage furrows into earthen soils sow…

There is secrecy and sanctity in neglect and decay, Vickie, and your capture of essence here is so worthwhile. Perfect pic to accompany.

Always so sad to watch memories of another time crumble and fall entering into the isles of oblivion...

A beautiful piece Vickie! I too, love barns. There is a kind of beautiful sadness about them.

Peace,

In time it is sad to say and see such beauty tossed and forgotten to the wayside Vickie. Beautiful Pic.

Beautifully done vic and as always love your photography. It is sad to see the ghosts of the old farms and farm buildings deterriorating but also sort of magical in a way too for they do hold so many spirits and memories.

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
