"Eulogy"

I stand here before all of you today.

To say how much I enjoyed being single.

I've met women in different places.

All shapes,sizes and races.

Black hair,blonde hair,brown hair.

Weeves,dreadlocks,wigs,extensions oh my!.

On some occassions,I made a woman smile.

By the type of gentleman that I am.

I didn't have to ask for their phone numbers.

Their smiles would say it all in a beautiful way.

This is my eulogy,my eulogy,my eulogy.

This is my eulogy for me to speak.

I have to admit I am shy,it comes natural to me.

In my heart,I believed one day I will find someone special.

I've dealt with rejections of all kinds.

With a sense of pride,I hold up my head high.

I look back at those moments and said "I tried"

I tried Lord I tried to find a flower to put in my garden of love.

When I'm on the street,I would see couples holding hands.

Even 2 birds were kissing each other on their beaks.

How I wish that would be me and her.

This is my eulogy for me to speak.

My dream came true as I finally met the one.

I didn't meet her at a church or at the store.

I met her when I least expected it.

It was right in front of my eyes for me to see.

Just like Etta James,my lonely days are over.

I'm happy to have her in my life.

I'm proud of the journey that led me to her.

As I look back,was it worth it?Yes it was,oh yes it was
