What would you do if you stood in the garden

And saw the soldiers coming for your Leader and your King?

Would you run away and hide?

Or stand there by His side

Would you see the hand of God in all these things?

What would you do if you stood by the fire?

And saw your leader beaten, alone but not afraid?

Would you turn away your face?

See it as a great disgrace?

Or know its for our healing He has paid.

What would you do if you stood under the cross?

And saw your Saviour dying and the land so tempest tossed?

Remain there to the end?

And try to be a friend?

And understand the greatness of the cost.
