FOREST WORLD

Under dark shade of green patchy trees
encircled by summer breezes
hum delicate forest songs.
Bird chirps ring like gold bells.
Animals chatter
punctuated
by grasses
bending
low.

A nonet - a poem with 9 syllables, counting down to 1.

Interesting exercise. But I like the idea of the forest more. 'Stand like Druids of eld, Stand like Harpers hoar, with beards that rest on their bosems.' The trees, to Longfellow in Evangeline.

"Forest World" speaks - Pan's language - and depicts the sylvan's environment. A poetic short with gradiose and style.
