Excellent write Micke, and I hope he does all that he has said he would, But I fear too many expect too much and it can cause terrible consequences. We all need to do our best to stand with our new President , but we musn't stop others from having their say. We need to come together more, yet all voices should be heard without rancor! I hope and Pray obama can make this happen for it is
what he wants to do too!

the unknown facets of our current federal government are staggering -- we truly need less federal bureaucracy, less federal government intervention on the rights the founders intended us to have as free citizens -- any proposals for more federally run programs that take money in the form of additional taxes from the citizens, diminishes our freedom -- we are fast becoming a nation of socialism -- the very thing we fought against so hard for fifty-years, during the cold war -- I see nothing coming that proposes change in that attitude -- only more intervention -- the banks, mortgage companies, financial institutions, the automotive industry, talk of nationalizing everything, with the central, federal government in control -- this is not democracy or the will of the citizens -- these are the tactics of Hugo Chavez, Castro, Mao et al -- pray, things will be different, not just more twisted rhetoric -- George Carroll's words should ring loud and clear with everyone that wishes to openly express their opinions -- freedom of speech hangs in the balance -- JMW

Yes Micke, and he needs all your help, but I see there are already doubters and detractors, small mindedness brought us to where we are now, America the great, was founded on visions of greatness, which it has so often shared with the rest of the world. You have made a great leap forward already by electing President Obama before he has done anything yet, except in his greatness of heart, has inspired a nation to hope again, the belief of hope comes from a wellspring of a good soul, need I say more? Bless you! By the way I forgot, it is a most beautiful and inspiring poem! Jasmin Horst
