The way I see myself sometimes..

I bathe myself, but retain the sin.
Baptise me.
Please, don't look within.
Tell me then, what I feel.
Or which ones are real?
Pretend that you know.
Feelings dissected
Needs rejected
Keeping eyes straight ahead
Ignore what may be found
I slept content
On the frozen ground
Satisfied that is where I belong
Always felt
More wrong then right
Days full of pain
give birth to same.
I knew then
that I was still alive
Much more to fear
of the
numbness that comes.
Switches inside
going off, going on.
Pain to nothing
Nothing to pain
Cut me...
Would I bleed?
And numbness my friend
shall always interceed.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
