this piece is so sad, because it is so prevalent. so difficult for parents to hold their tempers with their little ones, and so many are so hurt instide from past hurts that they simply must pass it on, regardless of the eventual cost to their own souls. you express this ably, and even though it is such a stark and hurt-filled scenario, your wordsmithing is direct and to the point, no frills or sidebars necessary.
Powerful write and great choice of words. Emotions run high in this one.
