To go out on the bough at the furthest place
What does one do to seek that space?
The wear and tear to get to the end
Only brings you where you must begin.
There is no extraordinary answer to the road you take
It only points back to the shadow of your wake,
Do you just follow a circle to find the right path?
Or do you wait until God displays an unusual wrath.
Would His wrath put an instant map in your hand,
So that The Creator, your God, could divulge His plan?
From start to finish He’s in the mix
As long as you don’t try your normal tricks.
You can’t run away from His outstretched arm,
You can’t run and hide when you feel alarm,
You can’t predict what the next steps will be,
It’s moving forward when you don’t see.
You must believe there is a solution
For in His time He will bring resolution,
To have His best securely in reach
You must know that He intends to teach.
The revelation he offers is always on time
And He doesn’t change his mind on a dime,
He sticks to whatever He has chosen for you
And He doesn’t just give you a plan out of the blue.
So what do you do in this time of waiting
When everything in you is anticipating?
You stand your ground, expect His voice
To speak to you His finest choice.
