If you've checked out my websites you'll see I mentioned a 'Rock and Roll Dream' that went down the tubes, well here's some of what happened during that particular Rock and Roll Dream.....

Episode One - On the Way to Las Vegas...........

some names have been changed to protect the guilty!!!!!

We went from there to Kansas that was famous from the song

'I'm Going To Kansas City!' I sang as we drove on

We both came to Kansas City and we wondered what to do?

There seemed no reason for to stay not even tasty food!

But one place they did have out there, it should have been just great

The Cowboy Hall Of Fame was there, the only thing in the State?

It was not too exciting as the place was dark and drab

There were paintings, rodeo riders only good men not the bad

They had a massive statue that looked so tall and sad

It commemorated something that we both thought was so bad

A lonely Indian figure slumped upon his big white horse

The Final Defeat Of The Indians, by bad white men of course!

And so we travelled on and on to the Oklahoma Fair

To see the waving wheat fields that we'd heard were growing there

But we did see no wheat fields and no singing driving rain

That drove across the valleys from the mountains out of range

The State fair was ginormous full of Bunkum Booths and such

We tried to win a Big Bear but we had no such luck!

We met a dizzy waitress in a Diner called Big Boy

Her name was Dee Dee Shaw and she was full of Fun and Joy

And then before we left we went out somewhere for a drive

And found an English Stable where Steve Wynne did let us ride

He had three kids, a pregnant wife who was confined to bed

A great big farm to manage on his own, his own Homestead

I got his horse to ride that day called Nickleodeon

And Susie rode Big Andy over jumps some made of corn......
