This poem is for my cousin who is full of fun
and this special day, for he has just turned one
One year behind him and many more ahead
with many new ideas and new dreams to fill his head

Much to see and more to do in the coming years
many smiles , many laughs and maybe a few tears
for this boy of one year old, in the coming days
His troubles are all forgotten as he sits and plays

His smile is full of innocence, no worries in his head
Plenty of stuffed companions keep him company in his bed
The world is full of brand new things, of things he has not seen
All his days are full of love, and toys dance in his dreams

Life is full of stuffed sharks , candy and lots of love from his Mom and Dad
who are always there for their child, both through good and the bad
But the cousin who writes this poem has for him this simple wish
For all the happiness for you to have, and all the sorrow miss
