no, no! Marilyn, never "accept defeat".. never give up. Try opening those eyes around 6 a.m., when the world is still quiet and anything is still possible. When it's darkest, light a candle and make yourself smile. It is a physical act that you can FEEL! This is a profound commentary of a human condition we can all understand... but which none needs to allow to overtake us. Great piece! katy xox (be well)

A good definition of crazy is when we repeat the same task again and again, expecting a different result......you should open your eyes for even in darkness there is enlightenment. I enjoyed your poem.
