Sometimes I wanted to run, and never come back
I didn’t care for me
My lungs getting air, but I wasn’t
Numb, so numb I couldn’t feel myself
It was splendid
It became a place I knew well, and I felt comfortable
No pain
Nothing, no one could hurt me anymore
I was happy.
I’m sorry for crying, I don’t mean to
I thought I knew happiness, but I didn’t
Please…
I don’t want to go back
Please don’t do this to me
I can breathe, I can feel
And I’m frightened
Please…
I’m sorry for crying, I don’t mean to
I never want to go back to that pool
Of bottomless quicksand
Oh how I understand these feelings only too well, never apologise for crying. If this is how you are feeling right now, just remember I care :) Powerful write Marylin.
