Simon says do this and your hurriedly comply because Simon never lies and he has your best interests at heart this time around so you carry the flag. They draped it across your chest and you thought it was strange and still you felt cold and alone but they were all there still and quiet.
Simon says we shall fight but no one says who is right each side claims their right to God and declares evil in the others face, while destruction awaits the human race and Jane’s dog is still called Spot. So a heart is stilled a voice is lost the price of freedom has an ultimate cost.
Play the drums slowly, play the pipes lowly as my baby boy comes to sing no more. War is hell and it doesn’t matter if you are victor or vanquished When baby boys die and mothers cry and Spot sits longing by an empty door.
Very deep and profound. The last two verses remind of my country where boys die and mothers weep. Excellent poem

Beautiful poem Marion ... both in tone and mood. You capture a moment in time perfectly. Very very outstanding.
p.s. I think my song/poem will touch your heart the way yours
touched mine. Take a look at: "Happy Mothers Day In Hell."

This is a wonderful piece of work, and although I feel freedom at any cost is rightfully the right way, pat Spot on the head for me would you.
