I have been terminated from my job. My ex boss believes I will not fit in with the new direction he is going in. I am unable to prove it but I believe it is my age that is the true reason that I lost my job and the fact that I am one of the highest paid cashiers. Loyal to end for all that got me. Actually I don’t regret my loyalty as it shows the truth of who I am. Also I believe it was the recent health issues. But....I have decided to take the high road and let my anger drip into the paper while cleaning my soul for the new door that is opening. Letting go.....It’s a good thing. :-)
Some days just suck; you know?
There I was working hard and thinking life was good,
Then boom bottom fell out and I lost my job,
They could not say it was anything I did wrong,
Apparently they want to move in a new direction.
Now the rant:
Snake with eyes hiding as he gives me knowledge,
He said the words that will set me free, after I rage a little.
Friggen little half pint, less of a man then he thinks he is.
Making moves to show the big guys that he is a good boss,
Only to show all who have viewed him how truly serpent he really is,
Sorry to the snakes that behavior in nature is better then him.
He is the one who is sung about when they say beware of smiling faces.
Now the balance:
In truth this is a blessing in disguise, freedom now to truly search,
Better opportunities to arise and opening of new door unseen now.
To stay, physically I was wearing down, the heart give me a message,
Cardiac attack, 3 times warning; I take a while to learn it seems.
Stress factor at work has been overpowering for a long time now.
Now with severance pay I can sit back and enjoy every moment.
My arts and writing I’ll have time for again, maybe its a different door.
Apparently they want to move in a new direction.
They could not say it was anything I did wrong,
Then boom bottom fell out and I lost my job.
There I was working hard and thinking life was good,
Some days just suck; you know?

"...anger drip into the paper.." how perfect is that. This spicy piece is just right. Talk about reader-identification....you surely have that with this piece of writing. I enjoyed beyond words your "Friggen little half pint," and the reverse order of opening and closing stanzas...at first I thought it a direct repeat, which would have seemed a lesser finish than leaving off with "...maybe its a different color," but that the lines were transposed changed everything for the better. Best of the days to come, Kate. ~~ Diana
Yes and there is no doubt in my mind that it is exactly as you have laid it out, Kate They have no souls and so it is their loss...it will not take them long to see that.
Yes, ma'am, some days do suck, but with severance u got time to veg out and relax and become a better you...maybe if u went over this bosses head, at least just to show the main company what he is capable or in-capable of...? Good luck in whatever direction you go though I know you won't need it...ed
yes some days do-but like the old saying there's a always a silver lining behind every cloud--I have been off work due to having become sick with a Burst appendix and abcess-so the last few months have been a time to take life easy-and learn to be Thankful-I Thessalonians 5;18--we will always have people in this world who will do nasty things to us--the trick if you will is to not let them get to you but see it as perhaps an open door for something better-hope an open door opens soon for you

Sherlyn Powell opens up about her love and devotion to her family and the overwhelming repercussion when communication breaks down. Heartbroken and distraught she learns to release her prayer and realize with faith God would reunite her family.
Seems like experience and perseverance are punished, rather than rewarded these days. Don't blame you for being p_...er, angry!!
You have a great attitude, luv. It is bound to serve you well.
Opportunity will knock, you'll see.
Good luck!

That is the way to think. Absolutely it is another door opening. You're thinking positive, and that is a good thing.
