I look at life
as a set of periods--
chunks of time--
that barely overlap
like shingles on a roof,
one tacked on
above the other
only touching the one before--
the last different from the first--
only linked
when the same raindrop drips down
from top to bottom
like memories cascading,
lasting all the way,
touching every shingle,
every period of life,
vanishing at the end--
off the edge of the roof--
when life ceases.
Very good poem J. Nothing but enjoyed reading it. As I read down my mind did just as the rain drops annd shingles.
