Words are often spilled into the wind,
With such a hollow consolation to the heart…
They’re carried far into the beating of the night,
Inside the void that seems the ending to the start.

Meanings lost within the shadows of the day,
From silence stalks behind the back of every dream…
While wings of ravens carry madness to the grave,
Where final words are only uttered as a scream.

Time quickly swallows every effort to reply,
These minutes pass until the hours fall away…
While in between the pitter-patter of the tears,
The storm clouds brew and bend the sunlight into gray.

As daylight tries to chase this darkness from the mind,
The heavy curtains never let it penetrate…
Outside the lines of in between there is a star,
That gathers wishes to the whim of every fate.

It’s only those who seek the truth that ever find,
The taste of freedom from the chains of disarray…
Whose hearts will hold on to the fabric of the soul,
With hope to find some peace and love along the way.
