It’s enough to remember
the times that were good
while it feels like forever
I wish that I could…
For it’s long since forgotten
the moments so few
when it seemed I could trust in the
friend that was you.
Now it’s time to move on
to be true to myself
all along I was used to be
put on a shelf…
But my wings felt so heavy
when bound within lies
so I traded my cage
for the bluest of skies.
If I needed a fair-weather friend
you would do
nothing I can say now
would have meaning to you…
Like a beggar you traded your soul
for a dime
now your arrogant ways
are a waste of my time.
I’ve found meaning to my life
I wish you could see
that the past we have shared
means so little to me…
So let’s stop pretending
that you love me so
‘cause I never knew you,
so just let it go.

Marvellous poetry dear lady. Always wonderful. Melissa just kick the fair weather friend in the butt and head your own way. You won't feel or miss a thing. Traitors are worthless Benedict Arnolds ...
