Maybe not very poetic, but my muse wants to vent a little. :)

Watching the world through my window
the flowers in bloom
with this knife in my heart
feeling darkness and gloom.

Whispered words full of ice
have foretold of the future
so vividly captured
my wounds without suture.

Heard your voice again
how it made me remember
the touch of your hands
like the frost of December.

I’ve counted my blessings
while crossing my fingers
I’ve prayed to the heavens
still your memory lingers.

Like death to the roses
a black spot disease
you’re the nightmare that wakes me
and breaks me with ease.

Thought I’d conquered these feelings
that crawl through my skin
yet the darkness embraces me
time and again.

You’re like legions of demons
too many to tame,
Yet my heart will avenge
you’ll remember my name.

For I’m so tired of wasting
my life in this sorrow
I warn you today that
I’ve found my tomorrow.

The roses will bloom
once again in my view,
I will gather each thorn
in a bouquet for you.

Yes, we reap what we sow
whether flowers or weeds…
Every soul pays a price
for the wrong of their deeds.
