Gently the reasons keep stirring in motion
a trip to the dark of the moon…

Vaguely the memories keep time with the clock
that’s perpetually ticking the toll…
A song unencumbered that catches the ear
stirring deeply the depths of the soul.

Wired senses uncovering slowly the veil
that’s been layered in years full of dirt…
Swirling softly in spirals the clouds rise and fall
to leave nothing beneath but the hurt.

Then the tears start to fall with a passion unleashed
‘till the ink of the story is bled…
Soaking pages of history to drown out the pain
that’s been buried alive in the head.

Washed away in the moment a battle is won
as the shadows are vanquished at last…
For to live is to follow your dreams of today,
to make peace with the ghosts of the past.
