I've been away awhile because my satellite was messed up...today it was fixed...hooray!!!!

Time traded the tears trailing down like the rain
into castles of sand in the wind...
Catastrophically wounding the pearl in her shell
leaving nothing but dust in the end.

Where no harbor could offer her warmth from the cold
that would seep through the shell she embraced...
Savage sounds raged around her though not of the sea,
it was only the silence she faced.

Couldn't live in the moment's unbearable pain,
with the future too scary to roam...
Though the curse of it was there was no where to turn
for the past was a long way from home.

Then along came a breeze gently stirring her soul
with the warmth of a bright summer day...
It blew in through the cracks that had weathered the storms
breathing life into all the decay.

There's a moment that comes every once in awhile
an epiphany bloomed from the strife...
Taking back what is real and remembering why
we are given a chance at this life.

We evolve through the seasons that change us within
growing stronger to face what may be...
Till the shell at last opens to what lies beyond
and the pearl within self is set free.
