The wind tries toppling me.
Fear holds me in its indecisive grasp;
Yet,
I take comfort in the precariousness.
I have no secure hold in either world;
But,
The buffeting of two opposing forces binds me
to my perch

I loved this line:
" The buffeting of two opposing forces binds me
to my perch"
First off, you can see the two forces.
Second, I love the way you state it. Rather than being "pulled" in either direction, both choices press equally from either side. Ingenious.
One thing I don't understand was "FencE." Is it simply because both the F and the E look like rails on a fence and the capital E balances out the word (just as your decision --and you -- are balanced)? Or is there another, hidden meaning in that E?
