The connections were made, and the comments persuaded,
until their minds and morals were warped,
and their actions became shaded.
The covenant with God and the marriage vows,
were long forgotten, so his manhood could arouse.
Leaking Eyes
The heaviness of loneliness brings leaking to my eyes.
Like rivers flowing to the sea, the tears stream down my cheeks eagerly.
The thoughts run wild of days gone by,
the fullness of memories ring into emptiness echoing now,
the reality of those years gone awry.
I weep for experiences that still should be,
for a woman and a man once married
and enraptured with each other;
times of snuggling up close together underneath the covers.
My eyes are leaking, as they recall years gone past;
the memories once so vivid that I thought would forever last.
Times of excitement and laughter, and passion,
when both our worlds were filled with mutual attraction.
But suggestions were thought, and created with direction,
to please and suggest actions taking place out of the home of perfection.
And then a slight nod, a wink, and a grin,
a sly suggestion, as eyes flirted and mouths commented with chagrin.
The connections were made, and the comments persuaded,
until their minds and morals were warped,
and their actions became shaded.
The covenant with God and the marriage vows,
were long forgotten, so his manhood could arouse.
My eyes are leaking for a marriage in the past,
years of splendor, hard work, and things that should last,
destroyed in such a short time, till forever;
there still doesn’t compute any reason or rhyme that can measure.
My eyes are leaking, for the touches and caresses,
I thought I would have for always, at those times that love stresses.
But now I will have to live without,
and always feel the dichotomy of self-doubt.
My imagination gets carried away,
as it frolics forward and backwards,
remembering many ways,
that love can come, and love can go,
until whenever it’s done, the tears freely flow.

Beautifully written BJ ..... The pain clearly defined in ways that can cause a reader to reminisce, with sadness, the same faith that the writer has so well written ...... I for one have experienced the same sadness and while reading this, caused even my eyes to leak once more ....
“Being a couple yet free is our next challenge on the evolutionary ladder. This book successfully helps us unravel the myths that block that achievement. It does it with warmth, with readability, and with balance. It recreates everyday problems and
