SHOT HEARD ROUND THE WORLD



There is no life
for me now,
is true ,
not meant to be lonely,
tattered,
blue.

Only lifeless existence,
me trudging onward,
through endless,
mad crazes.

I love him,
I hate him,
I am pulled, torn.
I feel a fool,
like today I was born.

To choose again,
pain, failure;
charmed,
disarmed
repeated behavior.

I knew
times always too good
to be true .
My life
must be miserable,
painful, blue.

Happiness
not long for me;
long enough
to fool me
blindness I see.

Life, a hermit,
secluded, bare;
expected.
I lose myself
in prayer.

Staying there,
forever, comforted
only by knowing,
my life, aloneness,
meaning not showing.

To all
whom I have loved,
to all whom I have not,
my death should
ring true ,
the world hears the shot.
