My goodness this resonates, dear Jon. So many relationships can be of this fundamental nature - or indeed go through passing phases of being so - and it is mind-bending to be caught up in the midst of such 'games'. Worse still is when they are deliberate. For the most part I think it's just the interaction of where people are at at the time, but it's painful nonetheless. Tight triplets that are taughtly written and conceived. Intense! xx
