sun has charred the sky
ebony spans east to west
in the prattle of grasses
our symphony of love plays
stars elope with the moon
your mingles haloed in its glow
the pink shimmer of your lips
poised seductively in a smile
beguile a kindergarten definition
to the sophistication we contest
our love aware of threads
tatting enchantment and sexual
I scan the southern skies
and escaping landscape for you
absent you measure my want
when the light from above
relents to the pull of the heavens
we will unite to make memories
