I opened my poem book the other night and I come straight to this page. I read it and almost cried. I know it's raw, but it was written in Nov 89 and it's exactly how Iam thinking at the moment. I couldn't stop staring at it. I had an experience. So here it is.
The other night I tossed and turned Half asleep My mind burned I questioned the roles Of those elected Their first priority Don’t get rejected I questioned the filth Spread over our land I incriminated my self For not making a stand I questioned the media Who tend to exaggerate? How they choose their stories Why they exacerbate? I questioned the multinationals And their capitalist system In the name of a profit Eliminate the friction I questioned socialism Everyone gets their share Still some get more Do their leaders really care? So I questioned love And I come to the conclusion If we all loved a bit more Love would be the solution. 19/11/89

So wisely written and still appropriate for the appropriate times. Yes, if we as a whole could love more it would be a solution to many of the problems that exist....

I absolutely agree with this. A really great piece of writing and so many of the same questions I've asked over and over. I don't live in America but we share similiar problems in my part of the world. There is possibly even more corruption here though. It makes me fear for the future. Fortunately I'm an optimist so I keep looking up.
