What do you do when love’s not returned?

When your love for someone makes your heart burn.

When you wait and wait to be let in.

It makes your heart ache and your dreams grows dim.

He says that he loves you with all his heart,

He says he misses you when you’re so far apart.

But he’s stopped writing and calling by phone,

Which makes your heart hurt and feel so alone.

The only thing you can do is cry from the pain,

Or you can pick yourself up and start living again.

I mourned the death of our love and I pray,

That I will go on and begin my new day.

I’ll never forget him but my heart‘s on its own,

It keeps waiting for messages and waits by the phone.

Someday it will stop and set me free.

But then I’m afraid it’s the end of me.
