I CAN HEAR

I see a look of sadness that is deep within your eyes.

Even though your lips are smiling I can hear your silent cries.

I know that look, for I too had eyes holding back that pain.

My heart was so lonely, seeing no sunshine just endless rain.

You are precious to everyone, with many great things in store.

Don't let anyone pull you down, for you deserve much more.

If you would take the time to look inside you'd see,

How special you truly are and set your spirit free.

It's too late for me, for I didn't see the sign,

I never saw the damage done, and I didn't leave in time.

The years went by and I existed, it hurt too much to feel.

Now it's much too late for me, to have a life that's real.

But with your energy, and all the love buried deep inside,

Find someone who deserves you, to be his blushing bride.

It will be the genuine thing when you always want him near,

Making you feel important and relinquishing every fear.

He'll make those sad eyes sparkle and fill your heart with love.

You'll swear that God had sent him, a present from above.

Out with the old, let a new love share your life,

And you'll find your happiness without having all that strife.

Don't settle for less, you deserve someone great.

Someone who is exceptional and will be a terrific mate.

Open the door for him let him inside,

You'll then be who you want to be and will make a lovely bride.
