What Would You Do?
Someone once asked, "What you’d do if your husband cheated on you?"
Would you take it lying down and be completely defeated too?
At that time, you weren’t quite sure, what your answer would be.
‘Cause the question was so bizarre, something you could never see.
No one ever thinks the day you exchanged your marriage vows.
That your mate will feel differently, than he does right now.
You might have been living in a fantasy of your own makin’.
Where nothing bad could penetrate and your beliefs totally unshaken.
How naïve you were back then, and wished life never changed.
For now you feel lost and forsaken but mostly deranged.
It was hard to realize that life never stays the same,
It can change in an instant and with no one entirely to blame.
So what do you do now, do you forgive him or move on?
When the fact is, you still love him and you bore him a son.
When he says, “Never again,” wanting to believe him & forgive him too.
“Cause that’s who you’ve been, who you are, and that’s what you do.
