Just a quick little ditty that I had written in 4 minutes

The stars are realigning and the earth’s gone beyond control.
The tides are sloshing inward - the winds are losing hold.
A darkness is encroaching...I feel the stillness of its touch.
God and Devil whispering...this duel serves quite a rush.

Green blades of grass lie trembling beneath a sky gone red.
Black clouds oozing downward...planting nightmares in our dread.
Rivers frozen in their rage...wildfire paused within its march.
Rains flooding the cracking deserts to touch the lips of the parched.

The stars are realigning and directing a new path for me to go.
I feel a tug of that celestial rope as though a puppet in a show.
Many roads diverge only to rejoin as a solitary route.
We oft’ forget our lives connect...forget the meaning it’s about.

I’m looking, looking...waiting for the stars to finally wheeze and drop.
Vulnerable...shaken...I wait as though an axe is longing to chop
through my soul and turn it into halves...Oh, I wonder if there is sound
of sweet rejoice that reverberates when that other half is finally found.

Always looking for that missing half that was taken away upon my birth.
That is my sole purpose, to find that missing part of me on this Earth.
We all have that missing half that we long to have eternally fulfilled.
I only hope I sense that triumph before, in the ground, I am chilled.

Seven more years to go from now. Nothing happens too early or too late, but always precizely on time when time is due. The universe has its own time frame and all in it must abide universal law.

Missing the other half of myself is a common experience of many who walk this earth, and you said it so well. Good job, Lori. Hope you find the missing part soon.

Is it truly missing or just not arrived yet.
