It was Mothers Day and the kids were bringing their Mum breakfast in bed .

To help my wife I thought I'd clean up around the house .
Best plans were laid .

There were bags and boxes of stuff
piles of things , lying around in heaps

Old bunk beds and a garage filled with junk . It's amazing what one keeps .

Hoards of trash and treasure like old cracked china plates with the odd chipped cup .



Unwanted toys and teddy bears .
Broken things that I'll never fix up .


Things I'm sure that will never be used ,like old books and a broken doll .

Then I found old photos and started remembering when the kids were small

But I thought this stuff has a place ,
it's all the things that have been our life .

So I put it all back and wished a happy Mothers Day to my wife .
