I have spent the last half an hour
Staring at my little toe
And it has become the center of
My universe
I am deep in a meditative trance
Marveling at the magnitude
Of reality
Represented by that one little toe
It is the core of all
Mankind
The intrinsic truth in humanity
It is the yin and the yang
The up and the down
The inside and the outside
Of our entire belief system
It is love and hate
Need and pleasure
It is all I can think of at this time

LMAO. Man, have I been here a few too many times. Excellent write. So real, I felt stoned after reading it. LOL. Very nice Sue.
I'd hold on to that toe. It must be worth a fortune. I had a similar fascination with the heal of my right hand -- sans any mind expanding aids. Not half an hour later, it became a normal heel of a hand again. For days I tried to figure out what had had me so transfixed, but nada. All I know is that for a moment it seemed wondrous strange for something I'd always believed to be familiar. Toes get too little play in poetry. Way to give one of their number the recognition it so deserves.
