They Just Won't Come

I spend a lot of time lately in front of my pc
Wondering when the words will come
I haven’t chatted with anyone
I haven’t written a poem, I have to force myself
To send a few emails saying I’m alive
To those few people who still seem to care
Yes you heard the no-no there
Its called self-pity and I hate it as bad as anyone
But I’m in my pity bag, firmly entrenched
I miss my boys, my buddy Josie, I miss Bill
And I miss Ed and Maria, I can’t seem to even
Read much anymore, I miss all of you because
I really am missing you, I’m missing my life as it
Passes by in front of my eyes
And still the words won’t come
The damned words just won’t come
