A cold Wintry January morn,
is when the star my mom was born!
In rain, sleet, hail, and snow,
a bouncing baby with a halo.
You have come through life's storms,
God has blest and kept your warm.
Though crippled as a child,
your faith has gained another mile.
Oh waht a cold and bitter Winter,
a chilling frost do you remember?
On your knees you toiled and worked,
and kept your kids in somebodys' church!
My father followed the city lights,
took him to the higher heights.
Penniless you and his five kids,
no thanks to dad and what he did.
Praying devoutly to God above,
He sent you grace and strength with love,
keeping house and sweeping floors,
life of a pauper you deserved more!
Met a man and him you loved,
he flocks and gathers high above.
Yes, I am thankful to the divine,
for the wonderful mom he made mine!
Keep standing mom shine like the star,
let the world know who you are!
As heaven out pours sunshine with rain,
you'll know God's love this birthday brings.
I will forever love you so,
praying always the road you go,
and that crown it tells your story,
until your reach your place in glory!
Be always safe,
Karen
