We here in America have so much to be grateful for and here are some reason!
I think about all the wars, so many have gone before! A young man in his early twenties, just got decorated for turning, the war, Civil War twas! In our favor, war between the states! Black mans dignity to be a human being! Be equal to a white man, Who had sold his soul for gold, Gold and slavery were kings then! Oh how the South really prospered! The fight for equality, that war still rages on! The America we know today, is because of that long ago veteran, two hundred and more years have passed! Thank you president Obama, commander and Chief! For honoring that Civil war soldier, and having a heart for veterans! The world has opened up for us, our country give us the respect, we long ago awaited and richly deserve! Thank you Air Force eagles in the air! Thank you Marines for taking Guam! Go Navy protecting our seas and shores! And you Army our GI Joe's on the ground! War is a horrible thing, millions of people have died, their lands destroyed! Before you complain and blame. Have you march enough, protested, and said enough, have you done enough, to stop or prevent War?��

Great poem that gives one thoughts to ponder. I know that after 9-11 I called the Air Force recruiting office to re-enlist. I was ready to go over wherever to keep an attack from happening again. No one really knows until the time comes if they will REALLY answer the call. I was ready then and I am ready now to fight for peace and justice for all. But more then just our country I want to keep free, it's our Christian values that mean the MOST to me. Christ Blessings, John Michael

You have praised the warrior, but not the war.
Saluted the cause, but not the method.
And asked the perfect question: Have you done enough
to stop or prevent war? Bravo, on all counts!

Good question. I think not. We are programmed to war and it's hard for individuals to resist going to war over what may not be a very important reason, after all.
