A Poem dedicated to those who spend most of their life helping others - and usually find themselves alone to deal with their own problems.

Who Will Play For The Player

When the hard and cruel day is finally over and the blood of war and survival is laid to rest -

I watch as you slowly relax your soul to the sweet and healing refrain of the player.

The shadowy demons are vanquished for a time - and tomorrow seems so very far away.

Hush now...and let the gentle waves of music wash over your hurts and pains and fears.

Hush now.....the player is here now - and soon everything that is bad and ugly will be lost for awhile in the melancholy fog - soon everything will be alright again.           Soon.

Hush......close your eyes now - and rest for awhile in my song - you are safe here.

But who will play for the player - when the dark of his night comes.

Who will sooth his pains - and bind the ugly things that tear at his inner parts.

Who will say "hush now.....soon everything will be alright again" -

- and gently place his so very weary head upon a soft pillow to rest.

Who will play for the player.

Who will let him close his eyes - just once - just for a little while -

            - and watch the player cry -

            - as great tears softly flow down his cheeks -

             - as he sleeps.
