Made it before, know you can do it again! It-again-It-again-It Meantime, lava hisses. What do distant rumbles mean?
Maybe it is the work. Maybe it is the rain.

Sailors call it a cat's paw breeze. Kitten ripples silent sea. Inland, leaves sway as the sun diamonds drops, then spirits them to its vault.
Rain rinsed without scrubbing this time. Just got rid of the grey. Green sprinkles glitter on thank-yous as Fall stirs yellows sure to pop.

i can't even begin to imagine the horror of being caught by the hellish cloud of pyroclastic flow (imagery of 9-11 comes to mind), but i think you've captured it vividly and claustrophobic-ly--GAWD what an intense, scary write! vivid imagery compells the reader to gasp aloud--i did--powerful writing! BRAVA!
I can't imagine the horror! Phyllys, your description is very powerful. You communicate the experience with such accuracy it can be felt. Love to read your work, always!
