Laughing Hyena Feeds Spinach to Ostrich {et al}
 
I have fallen and I can't get up.  Laugh!
Who could blame you?   I am a turtle,
tumped onto its shell,  all scales and stub
legs battling air and tongue darting hither,
thither, yon.  Believe it is  probing for
a sign the sun is going to shine.  Warm
light may give it the strength it needs
to right.  That my plight is more a matter
of mind and heart will spark more laughs
than the commercial quoted in Tasteless
Tacky's Riddles and Jokes from American
TV.  Can't have people falling.  Especially
if it's nuttin' but a frikkin' funk.  Imagine
letting the blues knock you arse over tea-
kettle.  Grow  UP!  Get a hobby, work
up a sweat, yoga into a twist.  Sort socks?
Walk the pet rock?  Some swear by
bubbles.  Got the sense to know when
you are licked, try to figure out how
to program a new phone or convince
your browser to stop nagging you to
Work Offline or Try Again.  Blog
back to blogs. work a puzzle, or check
out sex toys.   Three Stooges?  Pet Star?  
Desperate, diet like mad, then pig out
on Ben&Jerry's latest threat.  Top it off  
with nut-buttered chips and pork rinds.  
Carrot curl for roughage.   Done up-
chuckin', pray.  Get your rear in gear!  
Drag your sorry self up, glue on a smile,
and. . .what?   If only ostriches liked  
being aped.  Mine turned and bit.  Sand
and salt sting like fire.  All I did was pull
my head out long enough to crack a lid.
WHAM.  But I'm getting up.  I am.  Er,
how many tump-overs is a turtle allowed?
Oh, well.   Tortoise, ostrich, squirrel, deer,
ape, roly-poly, or eagle wing-velcro,  like
Popeye sez,  I-yam-what-I-yam-what-I-yam.
Most o'ye c'n laugh, so c'n most o'me.
Just  need to stretch for a can. . . GOT it!!
