THE DARKNESS LOOMS
Another night the darkness looms
Another day, a rose that blooms.
When hope seems lost to you and me
The glory fades I hope you’ll see.
I look to you above oh Lord
I pray to you for one accord.
When morning comes, I know at last
You were the one who held on fast.
I beg you Lord on bended knee,
I know you always hear my plea.
When I forget to seek your face
When I forget You’re in the race,
Help me Lord to seek you first,
Help me Lord to quench my thirst.
I trust you Lord I know you’re there,
In the darkness sometimes I stare.
I come to you oh Lord I plead
Loving you Lord, I’ll let you lead.

I live in Texas City and for the last, nearly three months, we have been re-building the damage that Hurricane Ike left us. Your poem expresses the uncertainty to which I clinged when evacuated to Lufkin and the hope I've held throughout the rebuilding.
Thank you,

Beautiful prayer/poem. He is always keeping us safe and loved, especially in the dark of night. Enjoyed this!
Many blessings,

Even in darkness, the light of hope shines through. Concise but very
profound in meaning, as "darkness" can also mean discouragement of soul, and the final conclusion "Loving you Lord, I'll let you lead."
is just perfect.
In the Philippines we're used to these and have adapted quite well to circumstances such as these, like girl scouts on camping trips.
