I remember the day you entered my life
There you stood so bold and bright,
Like a beacon that shown in the night.
Couldn’t believe this precious sight.
A gift you were, an answer to a prayer,
Delivering me from my deep despair.
A figure of beauty, your eyes, your hair,
Knowing that I must travel there.
Loving you deeply, forgetting the rest,
Forsaking myself, I embraced the test.
I let you in, you were no guest,
Owning my heart, you had my best.
The love of my life so good and true ,
Forever in my heart you were I knew.
Through peaks and valleys the drama grew,
Leaving me feeling so lost and blue.
Wanting this love to last forever,
It always takes two to keep it together.
Planning and wanting what was to be,
Forever and a day, why couldn’t you see?
Too bad for us you could not agree,
We had so much in You and Me.
