You say you are in love
He's the one that you adore
He's the master of pleasure
Alway's leaves you wanting more
The magic is so powerful
Though you haven't known him long
There's starlite in your eyes
The feelings are so strong

You say you are in love
But is it hormones that you feel
When all is said and done
Do you think this can be real
When the candle has gone out
And the passion's subside
Will he be there to hold your hand
Lovingly by your side

You say you are in love
That he means just everything
You want a house up on a hill
A big diamond ring
Love needs a solid foundation
I hope you understand
It's bad times and good
It's sticking by your man

You say you are in love
His touch burns you to the core
Someday the flame will flicker
So there better be something more
It's having alot in common
Other than the fire in your soul
It's still having something to say
After you've grown old

You say you are in love...

. Love is teasing
And love is Pleasing
When first its new, its a precious jewel
But as it grows older , then love grows colder
And fades away like the Morning Dew ....Spinners

Love surmounts All Linda
Truthful and realistic pen

I totally agree better be something there as we grow old other than just fire. I think as we grow old we really find our what love really is and it is more than just fire.
Nice message here

Aye, truth and honest looks at real love. Passion isn't all it's cracked up to be and having things in common is sooo very important. Loved the rhymes.

Wise and beautiful.
What a challenge..love. Too often a mask, a drug which people- especially poets take over and over for that high...and then crash.
The beautiful poetry comes out...depths of despair, awesome words bring a different high...then another fix...love poems flowing like a flood.
I'm not saying anything.
Talk is cheap.
