Inspired by the magical place of Campelot, my beautiful, talented sister painted this portrait of her and I....it is a masterpiece to me! I love you Maggie..........

Poem Artwork

The Painting

It was quiet there, in the early morning sun,
A light breeze drifting across the lake
Carrying fragrant wisps of evergreens
Stirring memories of long ago!
Lost in my solitude, and the wonder
Of all that surrounded me,
Quill in hand, words flowed like water!
My thoughts carried me
As my spirit soared!
I sensed your presence,
Your soul and mine connected,
It was that “sister” thing!
That awareness,
When we feel each other’s essence!
You were watching me,
And I knew you heard my thoughts!
It was one of those rare moments,
When we catch a glimpse
Of a precious memory in the making!
You sat down beside me,
And I welcomed your warm embrace!
A gifted artist, you seized that moment
And inspiration became timeless,
At your talented hand!
And as I stare at your masterpiece,
I see love in every stroke of your brush!
Your painting is a treasure I will cherish,
Until all that is left
Is a faded canvas,
A portrait of two sisters,
Kindred spirits, souls destined
To be together for all eternity!

Great poem, great picture, But how did she paint you tow while sitting next to you at the same time? Is she a time traveler as well as a gifted artist? Patrick

I completely understand your feeling and love the way your wonderful words expressed your feeling. My middle brother (I'm the eldest of three) my middle brother and I are this close also. So I relate to your words, and how lovely to forever have this painting that is made from the love and talent of your sister.
Your friend, Mark

A lot of talent in your family, Annabel. Both gifts can capture moments, and I think you've both done just that here. Well done. Hugs,
